Diving in Dahab

We have been in Dahab for a few days now, and the diving is excellent. Klaus and I are relaxing and doing two dives a day, while Emilie is slaving away with her Open Water PADI Course. Life is hard in the desert!

Cairo, Egypt

We arrived in noisy, polluted, chaotic Cairo yesterday. It was quite a change from Copenhagen. Last night we went on a Nile cruise, which included an Egyptian buffet and some entertainment consisting of various dance acts - some interesting and some dull.

Today we went to see the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. They were truly impressive! Unfortunately the area is littered with old decrepit buildings and aggressive camel tour operators ;-)

Picasa2

A new version of Picasa is out today - Picasa2 - and the integration with blogger is now much more seemless. I'm quite impressed by how well it works. Truth be told, I wasn't overly impressed the whole Picasa/Hello/Blogger trio. It never just worked. Now, however, just click 'blog this' and your image is published in you blog. Just like that!

Dyrehaven

 A trip to Dyrehaven just north of Copenhagen. Amazingly nice weather in October. The deer were in rut and bellowing, which made for a romantic picnic ;-)
 

The hunted becomes the hunter...or something

Finally passed my exam today and will get my game license in a few weeks! I somehow managed to get my right thumb caught in the lock on my last shot, which resulted in blood pouring everywhere. The student leaving bloody and wounded is hopefully a rare event for them :-)

Visit from Silje

We had a visit from my cute little niece Silje today. She was very talkative and of course quickly became the center of our attention. Who can blame us?
