Here is the schedule for our stay in Australia. I’ll keep it up to date as best I can.

I’m flying back to Denmark on September 6.

A Sword of Storms – George R. R. Martin

Again so much happens in this book, that it would take too long to put it all down in writing, but some very drastic changes happen to many of the main characters in this book! Worth the read.

A Clash of Kings – George R. R. Martin

Great sequel to Game of Thrones, and great promises of more to come. Too much detail to put in this post, but all story branches continue along their thrilling course.

AFL IC2011 Draw is available

AFL has finally published the draw for IC2011. Why they went through all the trouble of an advanced seeding and ranking system, and then changed everything in the last minute is anyone’s guess.

Check it out here.

Drengen i kufferten – Lene Kaaberbøl

WWW:Wonder – Robert J. Sawyer

The last book in the WWW trilogy. Webmind works hard to prove its benevolence with the help of Hobo, a chimpanzee/bonobo cross, the Dectors, Calculass’s new boyfriend, and various friends they have made along the way. All is not smooth sailing as various government agents and agencies battle against it. Also China rocks the boat by turning on the Great Firewall. Well worth the read and a fitting end for the trilogy.

Monstrous Regiment – Terry Pratchett

Another great read from Pratchett 🙂 Very entertaining story about women in the army. Not one of his best ten, but definitely worth a read!

Earth Abides – George R. Stewart

Earth Abides is an amazing book! Loved it! I think I will enjoy this book again in years to come.
Ish, a young man, escapes a worldwide plague, and we follow his life on post-apocalyptic Earth. What happens to civilisation when man is not there to maintain it? How will a new tribe of man live with the vestiges on the old civilisation. This book is an eye opener and gets you wondering. Apparently this book is the father of all disaster stories and films, and I can certainly see why so many have tried to recreate the essence of this story.
