Another exciting instalment in the series! One thing that is a little tedious is the dichotomy between the sexes. It is all well and good and helps define the fantasy universe, but you’d think it was relaxed a little between good friends, lovers, husband and wives, etc….
Maybe also time to have a brief pause before consuming book 9 of the series – time for something different I think.
Rand is still hunting the forsaken, and his most elaborate plan is about to come to fruition. Very good book! On to the next one…
God røverhistorie med masser af forfærdelige scenarier fra Det Tredje Rige. Vi følger to engelske piloter, der bliver skudt ned og bliver nødt til at agere sindsyge SS soldater for at komme gennem krigen. Mange år senere er der et meget spændende opgør med fortiden!
So much stuff happens in this book. Rand al’Thor joined by other men who can channel, we see Perrin again, Rand al’Thor meets Aes Sedai, politics, chaos, kidnapping, murder, and much much more 🙂 Next up, Crown of Swords!
An interesting anthology featuring short fiction by Scalzi, Elizabeth Bear, Tobias Buckell, Jay Lake, and Karl Schroeder. The authors have collectively created a shared future world. Good read, although the first story took a couple of tries spread out over the year.
Super god bog der giver et indblik i, hvad de danske tropper også laver i Afghanistan, og hvad det betyder for lokalbefolkningen. Rart at høre noget fra en anden vinkel end mediernes rapportering om døde og sårede.
Man følger en dansk kvindelig soldat, AC, der er udsendt for CIMIC, og hendes møde med de afghanske kvinder.

Trouble among the Aiel forces Rand across the Spine of the World and involuntary conquest begins. The Forsaken become more active, Rand harness the One Power with the help of male channeler, and and and the list goes on. Best book in the series so far! I think I will wait a little before starting the next one, just to have a spell from the Wheel of Time.
Excellent installment in the series! Rand al’Thor wields the power, but has no one to teach him how to do. Prophecies are fulfilled, and Rand has to plot and scheme to worm his way through the weave.
Interessant bog om hvad der sker, hvis vi bare fortsætter med at bruge resurser, som vi gør det i dag. Hvilke kriser giver det, og er der håb forude? Hvis vi skal nå at rette op på noget af det, kræver det en stor omstilling, men det kan lade sig gøre!
