A Sword of Storms – George R. R. Martin
Again so much happens in this book, that it would take too long to put it all down in writing, but some very drastic changes happen to many of the main characters in this book! Worth the read.
A Clash of Kings – George R. R. Martin
Great sequel to Game of Thrones, and great promises of more to come. Too much detail to put in this post, but all story branches continue along their thrilling course.
WWW:Wonder – Robert J. Sawyer
The last book in the WWW trilogy. Webmind works hard to prove its benevolence with the help of Hobo, a chimpanzee/bonobo cross, the Dectors, Calculass’s new boyfriend, and various friends they have made along the way. All is not smooth sailing … Continue reading
Earth Abides – George R. Stewart
Earth Abides is an amazing book! Loved it! I think I will enjoy this book again in years to come. Ish, a young man, escapes a worldwide plague, and we follow his life on post-apocalyptic Earth. What happens to civilisation … Continue reading
WWW:Watch – Robert J. Sawyer
In this sequel to WWW:Wake we follow how Calculass and her parents try to help the emerging consciousness Webmind while an American security agency tries to kill it. Will an emerging consciousness necessarily want to help humankind?
WWW:Wake – Robert J. Sawyer
Must have finished this some time ago but forgotten to do a post. Anyway good book in usual Sawyer-style. Fairly simplistic plot, very well written, and Sawyer brings up some interesting topics. Calculass (aka Caitlin Dector) was born blind, but … Continue reading
A Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire, Book I – George R. R. Martin
I’ve read this book ages ago, but saw that HBO was going to make a tv series / film based on the story, so I decided to refresh my memory. As far as I remembered my first impression was, that … Continue reading
Shadow of the Giant – Orson Scott Card
Igen en god bog af Orson, selvom den ikke helt lever op til de tidligere. Der var ikke lige så meget spænding i denne bog, som i de tidligere. I stedet var det en masse løse ender, der lige skulle … Continue reading
Quicksilver: Book One of The Baroque Cycle – Neal Stephenson
This book took a long time to get through. It is interesting but maybe lacks a bit of action to carry the story. Main character Daniel Waterhouse goes through personal discoveries, politics, strife, war, religious unrest, and lots more in … Continue reading
Shadow Puppets – Orson Scott Card
Bean er på spil igen for at redde verden fra kaos efter Enders sejr. Endnu et superspændende kapitel i sagaen. Scott Card skriver godt og jeg glæder mig til læse de resterende bøger i serien.
